We overcome the myth that the handicapped
are eligible for only the lowest and poorest
paid jobs. Our innovative, integrated
setting empowers the disabled to work side-by-side
with their non-disabled coworkers. This integration
allows the Vocational Training Center to perform
more complex production tasks, vocational counseling,
and job training, providing our customers with
a broader range of services. Their work experiences
include assembly operations, packaging, cooking,
making chocolates and soap, and other subcontract
jobs. DRI gives our workers real pay for their
work.
